Juventus and Monaco have reached a total agreement regarding the transfer of Denis Zakaria, Gianluca Di Marzio confirms.

The 26-year-old Swiss midfielder returned to Turin last month after a difficult year on loan with Chelsea, where he saw just 599 minutes of action across 11 total appearances, suffering from injuries and poor form.

Zakaria has been on the way out of Juventus for a number of weeks now and was not included in the squad for their pre-season tour to the United States. He was linked with a move to West Ham, but a deal failed to materialise after multiple rounds of talks.

Di Marzio details how Juventus have now reached a total agreement with Monaco for the sale of Zakaria. The deal is understood to be worth around €23m including add-ons, as per other reports in Italy.

The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days, freeing up another slot in the Bianconeri squad.
