Milan have shaken hands with RSC Anderlecht to sell defender Jan-Carlo Simic for €3m plus a 20 per cent cut of the sell-on fee, say Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano.
The deal was effectively done over the last few days and the final details were worked out this afternoon.
He turned 19 in May and joined the Rossoneri youth team from Stuttgart in 2022 for €1m.
Simic was given four Serie A appearances and two in the Coppa Italia amid an injury crisis, even managing to score a goal, and was expected to make more senior squad outings this season.
However, with the contract running down in June 2025 and months of negotiations finding no progress, it became a very real risk of losing him as a free agent.
Why Milan had to sell Simic
According to some reports, the Serbian was unhappy at being included in the new Milan Futuro squad, which will play in Serie C this term.
This is a reserve team, Milan the latest to sign up after Juventus and Atalanta.
Instead, he moves to RSC Anderlecht in Belgium and hopes to receive regular first-team football.
There are no bonuses in the deal, so Milan receive the full €3m plus a 20 per cent cut of his future sale fee.

If Pioli would have given him more game time like he deserved then he probably would have stayed. If he was asking for 1.5 million a year then why is he of to Anderlect who I imagine aren’t paying him that much so I doubt that’s true.
