Sky Sport Italia claims Napoli and Chelsea have reached an agreement over Kalidou Koulibaly and the defender will have his medical in London tomorrow.

The 31-year-old is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer to Stamford Bridge and according to Sky Sport, the player is ready to fly to London.

Koulibaly is expected to take a private flight for London tonight and undergo his medical with the Premier League giants on Thursday.

The Senegal captain has reached a verbal agreement with the Blues and will earn €10m per season at Stamford Bridge.

His agent Fali Ramadani has met Chelsea at least twice during the summer and it didn’t take long for him to reach an agreement with the Blues.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti told players on Tuesday that Koulibaly would have left. However, he publicly refused to blame the designated captain for his decision while, according to the club’s official radio, president Aurelio De Laurentiis is furious with both Koulibaly and his agent Ramadani.

  1. Thank god this transfer is coming to an end. Good move going to the best league in the world and to a big team. It is a step up for him. Now Juventus can focus scouring the old playbook and see if anyone is available for free. Maybe Sergio Ramos would be interested in a move. After all PhD Max is on the lookout for younger players.

  2. How many more articles do you want to write about this transfer????? FIVE already visible just as you land on the page. 🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. Rosario objectively it is the best league in the world. He is correct in saying that. What other leagues can you name that are more competitive ? Typical Italian point of thinking always looking to the past and not realising what is the present and future. The English premier league has the biggest global audience for a reason and they pushed hard into the Asian markets decades ago. Meanwhile in Italy another big name leaves for the premier league.

  4. Poopie

Name the last English team to beat a Spanish one in a champ league or europa league final.

Competitive? Who has been winning bar Man City? Are Arsenal the definition of ‘competitive’? Spurs had a largely terrible season and finished 4th. Chelsea coasted from January and still finished fourth.

Money and asian markets = best league? Brilliant.

  5. There’s time for everything and at last he was found despite all oath . Welcome to Chelsea 💙

  6. Nuhu Ajang Jr

Yes, fella. Top 4. Were woeful in second half of season but the test of the league just kept stumbling over themselves to challenge for 3rd.

  7. Kimpepe will be joining. I see a solid Chelsea defense. For the past few seasons, Chelsea has had the best defense in Europe.

  8. Last season in the Champions league Chelsea beat Madrid and went on to carry the trophy,They also beat Villareal to carry the Super Cup

  9. @ Rosario and Poopie

The epl is the best at the moment, but that’s not saying much. La Liga is weaker than it was, despite them still winning a few European trophies. Germany and France are one-team leagues, and Italy is a mess too.

As for the epl being competitive: Well, that’s absolute nonsense. It’s arguably the least competitive now as we have 1 or 2 teams at most racking up huge points/goal-differences/wins over the last 5 years. And with Haaland and Nunez arriving (players Serie A once got but has no chance now), expect them to pull away even more.
It’s so easy for the top 2 in England that they basically win every week. No Seie A side has that comfort, as most games are far closer for the top teams.
