Daichi Kamada will complete his move to Crystal Palace in the coming days after leaving Lazio on a free transfer, reports confirm.

The 27-year-old Japanese midfielder joined the Biancocelesti on a free transfer last year after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt, putting pen to paper on a one-year deal with a unilateral extension clause, which he chose not to activate at the last minute.

Kamada struggled to impress at Lazio under Maurizio Sarri but started to shine following the arrival of Igor Tudor in March, showing a number of positives. The Croatian coach was keen to keep the 27-year-old and has been left frustrated by the nature of his departure from Rome.

Kamada transfer

As noted by Fabrizio Romano, Kamada has reached a total agreement with Crystal Palace and will join the club on a free transfer in the coming days, with his medicals in London being booked for this week.

The Japanese midfielder will be reunited with coach Oliver Glasner, whom he worked closely with at Eintracht Frankfurt.
