Done deal: Juventus sign Alcaraz from Southampton

Juventus and Southampton have finalised the deal for Carlos Alcaraz, confirming his transfer to Turin.

The 21-year-old Argentinian midfielder has joined the Old Lady on a six-month loan deal worth €3.74m (£3.2m) with a buy option attached, worth around €49.14m (£42m). He underwent his medicals in London earlier today whilst waiting for the completion of his visa.

Alcaraz has shined for Southampton since joining from Racing Club in January of last year, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. His tactical versatility will undoubtedly be key for Massimiliano Allegri and his system in Turin.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus and Southampton have now completed the transfer of Alcaraz, signing the necessary paperwork. The 21-year-old has already penned his contract with the Bianconeri and will soon fly to Italy.

Milan and Inter were interested in signing the Argentinian midfielder last year prior to his move to Southampton, but their offers weren’t accepted.
