Done deal: Inter to sign Pavard from Bayern Munich

After receiving reassurances, Inter are now ready to sign Benjamin Pavard after receiving the green light from Bayern Munich.

The Nerazzurri agreed to the terms of a deal for the Frenchman earlier this month, willing to pay €30m plus €2m in add-ons for the 2018 World Cup winner.

Inter have been waiting to welcome Pavard for days now but have been left in limbo as Bayern refused to sign off on the deal until they secured a replacement. A deadline was set for today and this has now been met.

As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Bayern have informed Inter that the Pavard deal can now be completed, and the Frenchman will fly to the Lombardy capital later today.

The Nerazzurri have booked in the 27-year-old’s medicals for Wednesday, allowing them to integrate the player into Simone Inzaghi’s squad ahead of their next match against Fiorentina on September 3.

The Bavarian giants will work to sign Lutsharel Geertruida from Feyenoord as a replacement.

During his four-year spell with Bayern, Pavard scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 163 appearances across all competitions.
