Multiple sources now report Albert Gudmundsson will join Fiorentina on Friday from Genoa, which can in turn release Nico Gonzalez for Juventus.

The domino effect in the Serie A transfer market is ready to take off within the next 24 hours, just as the 2024-25 season begins this weekend.

Gudmundsson had been stalled until Genoa could find a replacement, but they now seem confident that Andrea Pinamonti will join from Sassuolo on loan at €2m with an option to buy for €14m.

According to Sportitalia, although Wolves said no to a loan for Fabio Silva, the negotiations are set to continue for him too.

Gudmundsson sparks domino effect

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia report that Genoa have given Gudmundsson the all-clear to join Fiorentina on Friday.

The loan is expected to cost €8m with an obligation to buy at the end of the season if certain conditions are met for a further €17m, plus another €3.5m in add-ons.

That can take the total cost to €28.5m, just below the €30m asking price, while Sportitalia have it closer to €25m total.

Once the Iceland international has made that move, then Fiorentina can release Nico Gonzalez to join Juventus in a similar structure of transfer.

That too is going to be a loan with obligation to buy for a total of around €30m.

  1. Francisco Conceisao would be more worthy these 30 millions, his skills and agility and age is better, only advantage in Nico is that he already adapted to serie a, but he will not du much better than Soule could do. Francisco can move our level up.

  2. Thiago motta is already struggling I really don’t understand why they went for him they should have gone for a manager who would have been useful for champions league a proven like tuchel zidane
