Fiorentina have reportedly done a deal with Union Berlin to bring Robin Gosens back to Serie A for a total fee of €7.5m.

This is a return to Italy for the former Atalanta and Inter wing-back, who had been linked with several teams over the summer, including his old club in Bergamo.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland, the clubs shook hands this afternoon to make it a loan move with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a total fee of €7.5m.

As the transfer deadline is just hours away, he will have the medical tests in Berlin with the results sent to the Fiorentina staff.

He is then set to sign a contract with the Tuscans until June 2028.

Gosens back in Serie A for Fiorentina

The left-sided attacking wing-back turned 30 last month and had made the move from Inter to Union Berlin in 2023 for €13m plus another €2m in potential add-ons.

He had already played three competitive games this season between the Bundesliga and DFB Cup.

Fiorentina turned to him after cooling their interest in Juventus winger Filip Kostic.
