Fiorentina and prospective coach Raffaele Palladino have reached a full agreement over an appointment at the Stadio Artemio Franchi according to reports in Italy on Monday evening.

Palladino agrees terms with Fiorentina

Palladino has been in the city on Monday, and was spotted arriving at the Santa Maria Novella station in Florence earlier on in the day. He has since been in for a meeting at the club’s headquarters to finalise the agreement.

According to TMW and others, Palladino will sign a two-year deal, until the summer of 2026, with an option of a further 12 months.

It is believed that he will take home a net salary of €1.6m per season. He is also expected to bring five to six members of staff along with him.

The 40-year-old’s appointment comes after the decision of former coach, Vincenzo Italiano, to step away from his role at the end of his contract, which expires on June 30. Italiano had been at the helm in Tuscany for three seasons, leading the club to two consecutive Europa Conference League finals.

Palladino, meanwhile, has spent the past two years as head coach of Monza, having replaced Giovanni Stroppa in September of 2022. He had previously served as the club’s Primavera side.

  1. @albert he might have said that, but maybe no offers from England was made. Besides, (I can’t believe I’m saying this since I’m Fiorentina supporter) Fiorentina is a perfect stepping stone for him.
