After Dejan Kulusevski, it’s now reported Tottenham Hotspur have also struck a deal with Juventus for Rodrigo Bentancur, ready to complete the double swoop for over €65m.

Sky Sport Italia pundits Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, along with Sportitalia, Calciomercato.com and others, all claim the agreement has been reached for the Uruguay international midfielder.

It will be done for €19m plus another €6m in add-ons and bonuses, although Juve still owe Boca Juniors a 30 per cent cut of that fee.

Done deal: Juventus send Kulusevski to Tottenham

The 24-year-old was signed from Boca Juniors in the summer of 2017 for €15.7m plus a cut of the sell-on fee, which started at 50 per cent and dropped for every year he spent in Turin.

Bentancur has also agreed personal terms with Tottenham and should fly out today for his medical and to sign the contract.

He’ll move to Antonio Conte’s Spurs along with Juve teammate Dejan Kulusevski, who last night clinched his loan for €10m with option to buy for a further €25m, becoming an obligation if Tottenham qualify for the Champions League and he plays in half their games.

There are also bonuses that could take the final figure over €40m.

  1. €65m for two sub players that have been out of form is GREAT business, it really is. All Juve fans will be very thankful to Spurs for this.

  2. Amazing, Juve already paid for Dusan…. I rate both Dejan and Bentancur (just think they’ve been playing in the wrong system) but Dusan is a striker who can win games on his own, he’s a bargain and those two can certainly be replaced as they’re not game changers

  3. Good too see the management wake up and do some great business! Confirm Zakaria… and this becomes an incredible January. If only Ramsey would leave. Sigh.

  4. I like both Bentancur and Kulusevski, definitely talented players but for whatever reason have not shown it consistently for JUVE.

Vlahovic and Zakaria for Kulusevski and Bentancur plus 15MM, is good business for us. Spurs will be better off for it too.

Glad to see us focusing on young promising players in the mercato. Send Ramsey to play the rest of his contract in with the Serie C team if he doesn’t go.

People are knocking potential Nandez signing but I think he too would provide us an upgrade on what we can throw out. So not averse to that signing as well at the right price.

  5. I have a feeling that many people don\t realize how good signing Zakaria is… he is like an improved and younger Matuidi. I think he might even be a better signing than DV

  6. Moussa Diaby and Heu Ming Son as wingers.

Rodrigo de Paul, Matteo Pessina, Frank Kessie and Rolando Mandragora as central or defensive midfielders.

Luis Alberto, Nicolo Zaniolo and Florian Wirtz as attacking midfielders.

Alessio Romagnoli and Lisandro Martinez as center backs.

Sell Dybala, Bernardeschi, Sandro, Ramsey, Rabiot, McKenney, de Siglio, Danilo, Morata, Kean. Chielini is to old too.

  7. @Brazilian Bianconero you are totally right. But since Juve had a poor youth scouting and a bad team structure (due to Paratici is a bad team architecture), Juve need to buy players.

  8. Grande Paratici!!!! Still working miracles for Juve lmaooo. Conte will absolutely love Bentacur’s grinta lol.

  9. Man, Juve just basically paid for Vlahovic by selling two bench players. Paratici and Conte helping their old club out.
