Italian Under-21 international Giulio Donati says he has yet to make a decision on his future after Inter reportedly sold him to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nerazzurri are understood to have accepted a €3m offer for the defender who spent 2012-13 on loan with Grosseto in Serie B.

“I’ll evaluate the situation when I get back to Italy,” the 23-year-old told Sky Sport Italia. “At the moment I don’t know anything and my agents have advised me to not talk about transfers.

“I’d happily stay in Italy, but if there is no space for me there then it is only normal to start looking elsewhere.

“I’d love to return to Inter, but the directors will have to have their say. I’d say yes to the Nerazzurri with my eyes closed.”

Donati caught the eye of Bayer during Italy’s run to the Final of the European Under-21 Championship. They lost 4-2 in the finale to Spain on Tuesday.
