Palermo’s Massimo Donati could be on the verge of a third stint with Atalanta after the Nerazzurri admitted an interest.
The midfielder, now 31, started his career at Atalanta before a 2001 move to Milan. He then spent the 2006-07 on loan in Bergamo and is again on their radar.
“Donati would fit perfectly in our plans,” Atalanta sporting director Pierpaolo Marino admitted to Video Bergamo.
The former Italian Under-21 international only joined Palermo in January from Bari and is contracted to the Sicilian club until 2014.
Some of his former teams include Parma, Torino, Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”15″>Sampdoria and Celtic.
