Palermo midfielder Massimo Donati has claimed that his side are in 'very bad water' as they sit on the brink of relegation.

The Rosanero are 19th in the table, three points adrift from safety. And the 32-year-old has admitted that it will be tough for his team to survive, but, after last weekend's win over Roma, there is a glimmer of hope.

“It is true that we are more serene after coming off the victory last time,” he told Giornale di Sicilia.

“But we must not relax – our supporters deserve that from us.

“We are in very bad water, so we have to be aggressive on the field, otherwise we will not go anywhere.”
