Roberto Donadoni has claimed Serie A has panned out as expected with Juventus “always up there” and suggested Milan’s problems stem “from the top”.

The current Shenzhen FC coach and previous Italy CT expected the Old Lady to remain the top team in Serie A this term but pointed out that Lazio have been a “revelation”.

“The table is respecting the predictions,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juventus are always up there and Inter are there, despite having lost a bit.

“The table is respecting the predictions,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juventus are always up there and Inter are there, despite having lost a bit.

“Lazio, well, they are the revelation. They are a tougher opponent for everyone than they’ve ever been before.”

Milan are currently seventh in the League and are fighting for a place in Europe next season, but the 56-year-old claimed the recent unrest at Milanello has “affected” the team’s overall performance.

“Milan, what is there to say? Reading and listening, I know that the problem starts from top. The corporate picture is hazy, all this affects the performance of the team,” he added. “And the results are a consequence.”
