Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero confirmed Sinisa Mihajlovic will leave. “Roberto Donadoni, Maurizio Sarri or Paulo Sousa will be the Coach.”
The notoriously outlandish patron took over the club last year after a career as a movie producer and has become famous for his antics.
Empoli boss Maurizio Sarri is the hot favourite, but Ferrero denied there was a deal.
“Who will be Sampdoria Coach? Until Sunday night it’s Sinisa,” he told Rai programme Che Tempo Che Fa.

“There are three men in the running. I still have to talk to Sarri. Right now I want to focus on Serie A, because ever since people started talking about the next Coach it has all gone wrong.”
However, after a 10 minute break he came back out to give extra information.
“One from Donadoni, Sarri and Sousa will be our next Coach.”
Donadoni has been through a hellish campaign at Parma, as nobody at the club has been paid since July 2014.
Sarri helped Empoli to promotion from Serie B and got them to play arguably some of the best football in Serie A.
Samuel Eto’o confirmed he is a fan, as he told Sarri he was “honoured to meet you” at their recent 1-1 draw.
Sousa is a former Juventus player and Portuguese international who is currently on the FC Basel bench.
As for Mihajlovic, he is expected to replace Real Madrid-bound Rafa Benitez at Napoli.
