Roberto Donadoni said Parma are still in the running for the Europa League, while Roma impressed him more than Juventus.

The Ducali finally played the Week 22 game that was rained off on February 2, losing 4-2 at the Olimpico today.

“Roma have great players, physicality, technique and important players,” noted the Parma Coach.

“We could’ve been a bit more aggressive, but we were coming off a long run of games with many players forcing their way through fitness problems.

“At the end we scored a second goal. We go forward, I am satisfied with the approach. Clearly there can also be mistakes and some situations should’ve been interpreted differently, but we too had important chances to score more goals.

“We had the opportunity to go in front straight away, but when you go behind it inevitably changes the course of the game.”

Parma lost 2-1 to Juventus last week and 4-2 to Roma today, so which of the Scudetto contenders impressed Donadoni the most?

“Roma gave me the sensation they are stronger on a physical level and have a lot of quality compared to Juve, but then I know the Bianconeri’s character and determination. It won’t be easy.”

Parma had gone unbeaten for a club record 17 consecutive rounds, but have now lost three in a row. They are still in sixth place, albeit only one point clear of Atalanta.

“We are there and will play our cards to the end. We are in the running to achieve what the lads have been building all this time.

“When we have the whole squad at our disposal, we become better than the sum of our parts. We all believe and will therefore continue along our path.”
