Roberto Donadoni speaks of a ‘betrayal’ at Parma, and points the finger of blame at Tommaso Ghirardi and Pietro Leonardi.

The Ducali were declared bankrupt this week, and will be forced to begin again as an amateur team in Serie D next season.

“When I arrived at Parma I thought I had found a club which could afford to work in a certain way, as everyone said,” Donadoni told Gazzetta di Parma.

“When I arrived at Parma I thought I had found a club which could afford to work in a certain way, as everyone said,” Donadoni told Gazzetta di Parma.

“For things to end this way is a disaster of unimaginable proportions. It’s a betrayal which no-one expected, and a source of great disappointment.

“[Former President] Ghirardi and [ex-CEO] Leonardi? I’ll tell them what I think it fair to say, but I’ll do it in private.

“It’s clear that they’re responsible for what happened.”

Donadoni is now a free agent, but is in no rush to return to just any bench.

“I hope to return to Coaching soon, but it would have to be with the right project.”
