Parma Coach Roberto Donadoni broke his silence on the alleged Antonio Cassano row. “We’ll say more next week.”
La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Cassano had a blazing row with his teammates during a training session, then carried on abusing Donadoni and director Pietro Leonardi.
Today both Jonathan Biabiany and Alessandro Lucarelli went on Twitter to deny there was any argument with teammates, but Donadoni implied something had happened.
“I don’t think there was any outburst from Cassano,” Donadoni told the official club website after Parma’s 1-1 friendly draw with Carpi.
“Leonardi will say more on the issue next week. If the players said what they said, it’s because there wasn’t any problem like that.
“I don’t know where these stories come from and in any case, whether they are positive or negative, it is right that we keep our issues in-house.”
Cassano was not included in the squad for today’s friendly test, further fuelling reports of a disciplinary problem.
