Parma Coach Roberto Donadoni is confident they can put their recent slump behind them against Inter, but warned Ishak Belfodil “needs to win back his credibility.”

The Ducali have picked up 10 points from the last 13 rounds and visit San Siro on Sunday lunchtime.

“During the usual dinner with the squad, I spoke to the players and realised how disappointed they were with our 3-0 defeat to Udinese. With Inter we want to make up for that performance,” said Donadoni.

“We showed a lack of determination in that game which was new for us. Udinese believed in the loose balls and were on to them first, as at times those can decide a match.”

Belfodil has been increasingly sidelined in the Parma project and Donadoni explained why.

“From January onwards he was a little too distracted. I think that can be considered normal at his age, as when everyone is talking about you then the pitch is no longer a priority.

“Now he has understood his mistake and I am sure he’ll begin giving his best again, starting from the weekly training sessions, as he needs to win back his credibility.”
