Bologna Coach Roberto Donadoni insists he will remain at the club until his contract expires after victory over Verona.

The Rossoblu registered a 2-0 win over the Scaligeri this afternoon and are set to ease to a mid-table finish in Serie A.

It has appeared likely for several months that Donadoni, who has one year remaining on his deal at the club after the conclusion of the current campaign, would leave at the end of the season.

It has appeared likely for several months that Donadoni, who has one year remaining on his deal at the club after the conclusion of the current campaign, would leave at the end of the season.

However, the former Italy boss says he is only thinking about fulfilling his contract.

“I am the Coach of Bologna until my contract expires. I’m not thinking about anything else,” Donadoni, who has been at the Emilia-Romagna side since 2015, said.

“The goalkeeper made two or three notable saves,” he added when asked about today’s victory.

“We lacked a little bit of precision in terms of finishing off chances but that will come.

“We need to have more conviction. At times it isn’t there, we are frenetic instead of remaining calm and finding the right solution.”
