Roberto Donadoni has the backing of senior Bologna players to continue as the club’s Coach next season, according to reports.
The former Italy boss has been in charge of the Rossoblu since 2015, presiding over 14th and 15th placed Serie A finishes.
With another lower mid-table finish on the cards this season, it had been widely thought that Donadoni would leave the Emilia-Romagna club after the end of the campaign.

With another lower mid-table finish on the cards this season, it had been widely thought that Donadoni would leave the Emilia-Romagna club after the end of the campaign.
However, he still has a year remaining on his contract and Corriere di Bologna now reports that he could fulfil it.
According to the Bolognabased newspaper, players such as Rodrigo Palacio, Blerim Dzemaili, Andrea Poli, Antonio Mirante, Simone Verdi and Angelo Da Costa are all in favour of Donadoni continuing in the Rossoblu dugout.
Bologna’s final two matches of the season are a home meeting with Chievo today, followed by next weekend’s trip to Udinese.
