The Parma Coach has heard many calls for Roma captain Totti to earn an Azzurri recall, but FantAntonio has fallen by the wayside.
“I hear talk of Totti, who is a few years older than Cassano, so it will depend exclusively on what they are able to do this season,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.
“If Totti continues to play like this, it can only be a positive for the Italy Coach and the same goes for Cassano.
“If the newspapers only focus on the aspect of this causing a problem for the Coach, because he is ‘forced’ to make certain decisions, then it stops being constructive and no longer helps the Nazionale.”
This is a special year for Parma, as the club marks its Centenary.
“It is a great milestone for Parma and it’s very pleasing to have the 100th anniversary in Serie A. We brought home some good results recently, so now we must not lose our compass and keep our feet on the ground.”
