Donadoni made way for Inzaghi last summer, but the ex-Milan striker in turn was replaced by Sinisa Mihaljovic after he won just two of his 21 Serie A games as Bologna boss.
“I believe Mihajlovic has brought enthusiasm, character and conviction. That’s very important,” he told RMC Sport.

“Then in football, you must also have the good fortune of facing teams who are in a difficult period.
“If Sinisa accepted Bologna’s offer then it means he thinks he can do the job: I support him and Bologna.
“The club were right to change Coach. Now a situation’s been created, which is difficult to get out of.
“I’m sorry for Inzaghi, but his results didn’t justify him staying on.”
