Bologna are active on the transfer market today, as reports suggest they are on the verge of signing Josh Doig from Verona, while Denso Kasius is heading to AZ Alkmaar for Sam Beukema.

The Rossoblu finished mid-table and are preparing for their first full season under coach Thiago Motta.

There are two new signings that would appear to be imminent.

Sky Sport Italia note that they are close to securing Scottish midfielder Doig from Hellas Verona in a deal worth circa €6m.

The former Hibernian starlet adapted very quickly to Serie A, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 22 games.

It is reported that AZ Alkmaar defender Beukema has already undergone medical tests for Bologna, but that his club are stalling the €7m transfer.

That might’ve been resolved this evening, as De Telegraaf are confident that a deal is very close for AZ Alkmaar to sign Kasius from Bologna as part of the deal.

The 20-year-old right-back spent the last six months on loan at Rapid Vienna.
