Silvio Berlusconi warned Carlos Tevez he must choose between PSG’s money or “a prestigious club like Milan where he can win everything.”

The striker is set to leave Manchester City in January, but the Rossoneri want him on loan whereas Paris Saint-Germain can offer €30m and much bigger wages straight away.

“Tevez has two choices,” the patron told Sky Sport Italia. “Milan represent prestige and the ability to win everything, including the Ballon d’Or. Paris Saint-Germain represent a large intake of money.”

There were reports Alexandre Pato would be offered to Manchester City as part of the deal to bring in Tevez.

“Pato is a great player who recently hasn’t expressed himself to his full potential. In football you need goals to win and in order to score, he has to be closer to the penalty area.”

Berlusconi also confirmed Coach Massimiliano Allegri is all set to renew his contract.

“He is doing very well and the contract renewal is not up for debate. We have already made the decision and it will be done.

“Milan want to be protagonists and can win the Scudetto again, while we can also do it in Europe. We’re in the final 16 of the Champions League, just like Barcelona, a side who play the kind of football I’d like to see more of at Milan.

“We already have a large squad and there are players like Thiago Silva who can take on numerous positions. He can be a midfielder and, with his class, also a striker.

“I make exceptional efforts, as Milan cost me €50m per year for the last two seasons. I think last term it was actually €90m. I always acted with great generosity for this club, sometimes excessively.”
