La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport report Andrea Pirlo will be sacked if he fails to snatch a top-four finish, but according to Sportmediaset, Allegri will return to the club regardless of Juventus’ position at the end of the season.

Allegri won 11 trophies during his five-year spell at the Allianz Stadium, but was sacked in 2019 with one year remaining in his contract.

The Old Lady’s directors wanted to change the team's playing style and opted to hire Maurizio Sarri. However, after just one season a ninth consecutive Serie A title, Sarri was also sacked as his relationship with a part of the dressing room had collapsed.

Allegri had been linked with a number of other European giants, including Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich, but none opted to hire him.

If Allegri returns to Turin, Juventus may part ways with directors Fabio Paratici and Pavel Nedved, who pushed Andrea Agnelli to sack the coach back in 2019.

Nedved didn’t even take part in Allegri’s farewell press conference in 2019 and the former Milan coach has recently claimed he has a good relationship with Agnelli, but didn't mention the other two.
