Lazio goalscorer Filip Djordjevic says tonight’s win against Rosenborg ‘gives us back our confidence’ ahead of the Rome derby.

The Biancocelesti won 2-0 in Norway with the Serbian striker bagging both goals, and they are now one point away from the Europa League last 32.

"After two defeats it wasn’t easy to get straight into this game, but we did very well and deserved these three points, which are fundamental for giving us back our confidence,” Djordjevic told Sky Sport Italia.

“Our journey in Europe? We’re thinking one game at a time. It's true that we don’t always do well away from home, but the Europa League is a different thing.

“We give our best, then we'll see how far we can go.”

The 28-year-old also reflected on his own performance and looked ahead to Sunday’s Derby della Capitale.

"There could’ve been more goals, I could’ve done better when I had the opportunity in the second half, but the light was low and didn’t see it well,” he said to Lazio Style Radio.

“These are three important points for the future, now we prepare for the derby.

“Today we came with the right attitude, from the first minute of the game we took the initiative.

“Now we have to continue working in these three days to get to our best for the derby.

“Of course it wasn’t easy after two defeats, it was important to get a good result tonight, now I hope to get back on track.”
