Novak Djokovic admits he wants to ‘return the favour’ to José Mourinho and watch his team play: ‘I think I’ve done it only when he was at Real Madrid.’

Djokovic is one of the tennis stars involved at the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome and met Roma boss Mourinho after a game on Friday.

“I met him more than a few times in the past, he came to London to watch me on the World Tour in London, and he’s an avid tennis fan,” the Serbian said at a press conference after beating the Argentinean Tomas Martin Etcheverry.

“He was always very kind to me and my team. Hopefully, I can return the favour and watch his team when he’s coaching. I think I’ve never done that, maybe a couple of times when he was at Real Madrid.”

Djokovic is a Milan fan and was spotted at the Stadio Meazza on Wednesday, sitting close to Andriy Shevchenko, during the Champions League semi-final first leg between the Rossoneri and Inter.
