Novak Djokovic confirms he is cheering on Italy against England in the UEFA EURO 2020 Final, just hours after he faces Italian Matteo Berrettini at Wimbledon.

The two events are going to take place tomorrow in London, just 15 miles apart, as Italian sport descends on London.

Berrettini is the first ever Italian in 144 years of Wimbledon history to make it to the Final, whether the men’s or women’s event.

“Football and tennis, Mamma Mia Italia, it’s fantastic!” Djokovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“Berrettini doesn’t have much to lose against me, perhaps Italy have more to lose with England.

“I hope it’s a wonderful couple of matches and that Italy only win in the evening!”

The Serbian speaks fluent Italian and spends much of his time in Italy, having also trained with Berrettini.

He is also a big football fan, specifically of Serie A club side AC Milan, so it’s no surprise to see him cheering on the Azzurri against England tomorrow.

As for Berrettini, he is a known supporter of Fiorentina and will be holding the Viola flag high as well as the Italian Tricolore on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Sunday.
