Atalanta have announced Berat Djimsiti underwent surgery after the forearm fracture suffered during international duty with Albania and the defender will be out for 30 days.

The Nerazzurri centre-back suffered a forearm fracture during Albania’s match against Hungary in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Atalanta defender Djimsiti out for a month

La Dea confirmed the successful operation this morning with a press release on their official website.

“The player Berat Djimsiti underwent surgery this morning to fix the displaced fracture of the radius and ulna in his left forearm,” the club said in a statement.

“In a few days, the Nerazzurri defender will resume training. The expected recovery time for him to return to the pitch is approximately 30 days.”
