Gabriele Oriali is set to leave his role as Team Manager at Inter, but reportedly won’t be replaced in the club infrastructure.

The former Nerazzurri midfielder is very close to Antonio Conte and had also worked with him in the Italy squad.

Multiple reports state that now Conte has left by mutual consent, then there is also no reason for Oriali to remain.

There is still some confusion over whether he asked to leave or the club pushed him away, but regardless, he no longer has a role within the Inter structure.

La Repubblica claim that the Nerazzurri won’t replace him for now, working without a Team Manager, as directors Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and vice-president Javier Zanetti will take on his duties connecting the club to new coach Simone Inzaghi.

An official announcement is expected this week.

Oriali had already been multi-tasking this summer, as he was part of Roberto Mancini’s staff when Italy achieved glory at the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament.
