Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi believes the Neroverdi’s performance against Juventus won’t be enough against Inter tomorrow: ‘They are superior, right now they seem unplayable.’

Sassuolo visit Inter at the Stadio Meazza on Wednesday four days after a 4-2 win over Juventus.

“The victory has given us awareness, and we obtained a great result against a better team,” Dionisi said at a pre-match press conference as quoted by TMW.

“We know what we did on Sunday will not be enough against Inter because right now they are superior. They are superior to everyone. We must try to be the best possible version of Sassuolo, we made it on Saturday and we must do the same tomorrow against a team that seems unplayable.

“We’ll need courage and personality,” continued Dionisi.

“It’s hard to think about going to San Siro and being in control of the game for 90-100 minutes. We’ll have our opportunities. I want to see courage in every moment of the game, we must have the qualities to always be in the game. We did it against Juventus and we must do the same against Inter. It won’t be easy because the stadium will push them. They are strong, but we’ll try.

“We’ve had enough days to prepare for the game and the best thing is to play.”

Davide Frattesi will face Sassuolo for the first time since leaving the club to join Inter last summer. How will Dionisi welcome him?

“I’ll smack him on the head because I am on good terms with him and all the others,” the coach said smiling.

“He left great memories here because he’s a smiling guy who puts a lot of energy into everything he does. I wish him good luck for tomorrow. Seeing him and all the others I’ve coached will be a pleasure. He has settled in well, hopefully, he won’t do what we know he can do.”
