Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi reveals Jeremie Boga and Filip Djuricic will miss the match against Juventus: ‘I hope they recover for the next one.’

The Neroverdi visit the Allianz Stadium tomorrow. The match kicks off at 17.30 UK time.

“Allegri is a coach I admire, but the emotions will end after the hand-shake,” Dionisi said at a pre-match press conference.

“Boga is not available, but we hope he will return against Empoli as he’s already training with the group.

“Djuricic is also out of action, hopefully, he will return in the next game.

“I don’t know which approach Juventus will have tomorrow. Usually, they are really dangerous on the counter-attack. However, we’ll have to focus on ourselves and try to have our identity on the pitch.”

Dionisi was asked why VAR didn’t intervene for a contact between Samir Handanovic and Gregoire Defrel in Sassuolo-Inter, unlike what happened at San Siro on Sunday, when the VAR called Maurizio Mariani, who awarded a late spot-kick to Juventus against the Nerazzurri.

“Honestly, I don’t know. The referees will explain it when they’ll meet us to talk about the refereeing incidents. I know we must defuse tension, but some episodes are crucial for a game, so it’s not easy to look the other way. There must be a reason, but I really don’t know it.”
