Lucas Digne is “very excited” with his transfer to Roma and expects to “learn new skills” in Serie A.

The PSG left-back completed his move today, on loan at a cost of €2.5m with an option to buy at the end of the season.

“I wish to thank Paris Saint-Germain for the two great years I had with them,” wrote Digne on his official social media page.

“I wish to thank Paris Saint-Germain for the two great years I had with them,” wrote Digne on his official social media page.

“This was my chance to play alongside great international stars and allowed me to progress a little more each day.

“Thanks also to the technical staff, the medics and everyone who works at the club (including attendants, chefs, security) who looked after us.

“I am very excited at the idea of playing for AS Roma, to discover a new country, a new championship and a new culture.

“Playing in the Italian League is very tactical and strategic, so will allow me to learn some new skills, to improve and step up to an important level.

“Thanks to all the people who support me every day, in particular my girlfriend and my family.”
