Roma are increasingly close to signing Lucas Digne from Paris Saint-Germain, confirm Italian and French sources.

Ligue 1 kicked off last night with PSG securing a 1-0 victory over Lille, but left-back Digne was not included in the squad.

According to Sky Sport Italia and L’Equipe, the French club is open to letting him leave on loan with option to buy.

The deal would cost €1.5m for the season-long loan with an option to buy for a further €16.5m.

Crucially, the option is not mandatory.

Roma aren’t the only side interested in 22-year-old Digne, as Liverpool are also eager to snap him up.

However, the Giallorossi have the advantage because Digne would be reunited with his old Lille Coach Rudi Garcia.
