Did Lautaro spit on Theo? Pitch reporter explains what happened

The incident involving Lautaro Martinez and Theo Hernandez after the Milan derby continues to cause controversy, but a DAZN pitch reporter claims the Argentinean’s spit is ‘not visible.’

Lautaro is being accused of spitting on his opponent in the final seconds of the Milan derby (watch the video here). Theo had been sent off and was on his way to the tunnel, but quickly came out to confront the Inter striker who could face a suspension from the sporting judge today.

However, it is still unclear whether or not Lautaro really spit on Theo while the Milan defender was going back inside the Milan dressing room.

DAZN pitch reporter Davide Bernardi, who was at the Stadio Meazza on Saturday, claims he and other DAZN journalists watched the replay many times, also in slow motion and zooming on Lautaro and the split ‘is not there, or at least is not visible.’

Theo Hernandez will get a one or two-match ban after receiving a straight red card in the final seconds of the derby, and it remains to be seen if Lautaro will also be punished today.
