Lazio spokesman Arturo Diaconale has told the fans to “stay calm and collected” as the clubs fight to finish the 2019-20 campaign.

Earlier this week, the spokesman claimed that the Biancocelesti will not allow another “denied Scudetto syndrome”.

He has continued to argue that the “inconsistency” shown by the footballing authorities are misleading and has revealed that the TV rights “are the main source of livelihood” for all the teams in Serie A.

“We need to understand how to start again. It’s easy to stop the championship,” he told Radio Centro Suono. “But I think it’s equally right to understand how to continue after the break and into the second half without harming anyone.

“This is a problem that President [Claudio] Lotito faces directly. I tell the Lazio fans to stay calm and collected because we won’t let anything be snatched.

“The Italian football authorities are trying to figure out whether to postpone the European Championship, and to make up for the postponed rounds.

“The willingness of the teams is always to reach the end of the campaign, otherwise there’s a danger of losing the TV rights. That is the main source of livelihood for all clubs.

“As an external observer, I can say that the total inconsistency is the continuation of the European Cups. If you have to do everything to avoid contagion, you can’t use two weights and two measures.”
