Bologna chief scout Marco Di Vaio has not been particularly impressed by Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic since his return to Serie A.

The Rossoblu were linked with a move for the 38-year-old, who is a friend of coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, but Zlatan ended up with a return to San Siro in January.

As the former Sweden international has yet to decide where he will play next season, Bologna have again emerged as a possible destination for the veteran superstar.

As the former Sweden international has yet to decide where he will play next season, Bologna have again emerged as a possible destination for the veteran superstar.

But Di Vaio did not seem convinced in an interview with ÈTV, according to Calciomercato.com: “I haven’t seen him in particularly good shape lately, then there’s also the economic aspect to consider.

“At the moment, it [the transfer market] is not in our thoughts and there’s not much to look at.”

But the former striker was happy to see the Rossoblu players back in action on the training ground.

“It did us good, our players have regained confidence after a long quarantine period and have presented themselves in good shape.

“We all want to resume the championship; we have no worries or fears of risking the infection. We were lucky because Bologna is a city that has handled the emergency very well.”
