Bologna club manager Marco Di Vaio admits a “surreal situation” around Amadou Diawara.
The midfielder is effectively on strike, as he wants to leave the club amid links to Roma and Valencia.
“He should show up here and then we can’t do any more than a fine,” Di Vaio advised at Ladislav Krejci’s presentation.

“Now we’ll see what happens, the situation is definitely surreal. As a club we want to talk about it as little as possible and focus on the new season.
“We never did anything against him and he didn’t allow us to negotiate for an adjustment [of his contract].”
