The Rossoblu were humiliated at the San Paolo and are on a terrible run of form, having failed to win a match since 14 February.

“It’s very difficult for us to explain this result, we feel ashamed both to the fans and the President,” Di Vaio told reporters after the match as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“You could see the difference between the teams straight away. When you don’t have the strength to put the same effort on the pitch as your opponent, matches inevitably finish like this.

“We had the illusion of being able to aim higher, but now we have to get the three points we need to stay up.”
