Angel Di Maria perfectly displayed his qualities to an Italian audience ahead of a possible move to Juventus this summer.

The 34-year-old Argentinian forward is leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of this month, forcing him to find a new club in Europe as he looks to continue playing at the top level. Di Maria has been heavily linked with a move to the Bianconeri in recent weeks and the two parties are now in regular contact.

What better way, then, is there for Di Maria to advertise his services than to shine in yesterday’s dominant Finalissima clash, where Argentina ran away 3-0 winners against a frankly tired Italy. Early into the match he caused Gianluigi Donnarumma to have a scary moment with his floated effort from the half way line and his dangerous movement continued to be threatening as the match progressed.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Di Maria found himself on the scoresheet in the match, perfectly dinking his former PSG teammate to double his nation’s lead going into the half time break.

At the age of 34, Di Maria proved that he can still make a difference and now he’ll be hoping to secure a two-year contract with Juventus at some point in the coming weeks.
