Despite various rumours that Angel Di Maria is ready to leave Juventus in the summer, recent reports suggest that World Cup winner is open to staying in Turin.

The 35-year-old winger signed a one-year contract with the Biancocelesti last summer after joining on a free transfer. Things did not start well for Di Maria in the Piedmont capital and fans quickly turned on him, accusing him of simply using the club as a way to keep fit for the World Cup in Qatar.

Things have changed for Di Maria in recent weeks, however, and he’s found a new lease of life in Turin following the success in Qatar.

As reported by Tuttosport, Di Maria is now seriously considering staying with Juventus for another season and is waiting to hear from the club, who are currently preoccupied with the various legal issues threatening them off the pitch.

The veteran winger has publicly stated his desire to play for Argentina in the next Copa America, which will take place in the summer of 2024 and he said in an interview last week that ‘we’ll see what happens’ between him and the club at the end of the season.
