Angel Di Maria praises the Juventus ‘winning mentality’ after their 3-3 draw with Atalanta and insists being docked 15 Serie A points will not affect his future. ‘The club remains great.’

It was a hugely entertaining match at the Allianz Juventus Stadium this evening with six goals and plenty more chances for the crowd to enjoy.

Ademola Lookman bagged a brace, including an opener within five minutes to bend back Wojciech Szczesny’s gloves, while Angel Di Maria converted a penalty and Arkadiusz Milik turned in a volley.

Joakim Maehle and a Danilo free kick routine sealed the 3-3 scoreline in the second half.

“It’s an important point, it was a great game, we made some mistakes and also did good things,” the World Cup winner told DAZN.

The Bianconeri were docked 15 points and are now mid-table, so can they still dream of a Champions League spot or is that impossible?

“It is tough being 15 points down all of a sudden, but if we keep working with this mentality, we can do something remarkable. Nothing is impossible, this is a strong squad with a winning mentality, Juventus have been down in the past and got back up. The important thing is to keep working and remain strong as a unit, with the help of the fans too.”

Di Maria is relatively new to Juventus, so he was asked if this situation will affect his decisions about the future of his career.

“It’s not the best time to arrive at Juve with all these problems, but this club remains great, the important thing is to remain strong as a club and keep giving our best.

“My decisions are always about my family and my family is happy here. This is the biggest club in Italy, one of the biggest in Europe, so we are happy.”
