Angel Di Maria is reportedly on track to sign a new one-year contract with Juventus after giving the green light on the idea.

The 35-year-old Argentinian winger joined the Bianconeri last summer on a free transfer, ending a seven-year spell with Paris Saint-Germain. He penned a one-year contract with the club.

Di Maria’s time in Turin started slowly, leaving fans unimpressed, but he’s shined for Juventus following his World Cup win with Argentina, scoring three goals and providing three assists in his nine Serie A appearances in 2023.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Di Maria wants to stay with Juventus for another year and has communicated his willingness to pen a new deal, so a meeting will be set up at the end of April to agree terms.

The 2022 World Cup winner is happy to stay with the Old Lady even if they miss out on the Champions League, a sign of his desire to continue with the club.

  1. Great amount of money to be pocketed for only playing half a season.

At least he started performing, unlike Pogba!
