Giovanni Di Lorenzo has been linked with a move to Juventus as he looks for a way out of Napoli, but what’s the truth behind the reports?

The 30-year-old Italian right back is ready to close out his five-year spell in the Campania capital after a difficult post-Scudetto season, believing his cycle at the club has come to an end. He has already been linked with various clubs across Italy.

Di Lorenzo’s agent Mario Giuffredi recently made it clear that his client had lost the trust of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and was keen to close out his time with the club, essentially advertising his services ahead of the summer transfer window. Juventus were one of the clubs linked with a move.

Di Lorenzo position

Transfer market pundit Matteo Moretto provided an update on the Di Lorenzo situation at Napoli and Juventus’ interest via Caught Offside.

Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a fan of the 30-year-old and is keeping a close eye on his situation in the Campania capital. For now, much depends on what happens in the conversations with the next Partenopei coach, likely Antonio Conte.

Should Di Lorenzo ultimately decide this summer is the right time to leave Napoli, then talks with interested clubs like Juventus would be opened.
