Lorenzo Di Livio, son of former Italy international Angelo, has been given a five-month ban for failing a doping test while on loan at Ternana.
Di Livio tested positive for THC after the Serie B game between Vicenza and Ternana on May 6, and Italy’s Anti-Doping Court has suspended the 20-year-old until October 23.
The attacking midfielder has also been ordered to pay €378 in court costs.
THC is one of the substances found after the use of cannabis, while Di Livio Jr was considered one of Roma’s most promising youngsters.
