Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco feels his side “should have been more clinical” against Red Star.

The Neroverdi crushed the Serbian side 3-0 in the first leg of their Europa League tie, but could easily have had more were it not for the post and some wayward finishing.

“We’d prepared the game in a certain way, and that allowed us to easily get into certain situations,” Di Francesco explained to Sky after the final whistle.

“We should have been more clinical and scored a few more goals. We missed that bit of determination to finish things off.

“Domenico Berardi? It was him who asked me to take him off because he was cramping up. He lost a little bit of rhythm because he’s been with the [Italy] Under-21s.

“It’s ok though, because the one who came on [Diego Falcinelli] was so decisive.”
