“I’ve been there with Sassuolo, so I know what happens and how this is a part and parcel of the job,” said Di Francesco in a Press conference.
“In football other factors are considered before the Coach, such as teams, players and fans. We hope to entertain everyone at the stadium.
“We prepared this match the same way we always do, knowing our fans care a great deal about this game because it’s a derby.
“I hope Castori can get Carpi back on track, but only from their next match. I’m glad he was re-hired, as he is a fine Coach and a good man.
“They are a physical side who really do battle on the pitch, plus added a few elements this summer who can raise the quality level of the squad.
“It was a difficult start to their first ever Serie A season, but they can recover. In any case, we have to focus on our own qualities and identity, regardless of who we are facing.”
Paolo Cannavaro, Emanuele Terranova and Antonio Floro Flores are out injured.
