Eusebio Di Francesco trusts Lecce will pour their “anger” from the Milan collapse into facing Palermo on Thursday.

The Salentini are still in shock after their 3-0 half-time lead was wiped out in a 4-3 home defeat on Sunday afternoon.

“There is so much anger about Sunday's game and I hope it can help us to grow,” said the Coach.

“After a first half we interpreted in the best possible way, something totally unexpected for me happened after the break.

“Now I must evaluate issues around squad rotation. In that respect, we've had more time to recover than we will to get ready for Sunday's match against Novara.”

Di Francesco expects a real battle at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on Thursday, kick-off at 19.45 UK time.

“Palermo are coming off two consecutive defeats, they modified a few things and I expect them to come charging at us right from the start.

“We also need to have a great impact on the match and keep the same level of concentration for the full 90 minutes.”

Travelling to Sicily could well be a boon for Lecce, who have so far lost all five of their home games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

“It does make us angry that we have not been able to pick up points at the Stadio Via del Mare. I hope we can pour that anger out on to the field, trying to win back what we dropped along the way.”

Lecce squad: Gabrieli, Benassi; Esposito, Brivio, Oddo, Tomovic, Carrozzieri; Giandonato, Cuadrado, Obodo, Olivera, Mesbah, Strasser, Giacomazzi, Grossmuller, Piatti, Bertolacci; Corvia, Ofere, Muriel, Pasquato
