Di Francesco has now entered the fray as well, according to the paper, having taken Roma to the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool.
They got there by topping the group ahead of Chelsea – who they demolished 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico – and Atletico Madrid before disposing of Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona.
This is Di Francesco’s debut season both at Roma and in the Champions League, having previously been in the Europa League with minnows Sassuolo.
